Tierra Whack made it to NPR’s Tiny Desk room and performed a 10-song set with her band The Big Backs. It was her first time performing with a live band and she marveled with the audience and how well they sounded together. Whack instantly built a rapport with the audience by her down-to-earth demeanor even candidly sharing how a chicken alfredo pop-tart was causing her indigestion. She was funny, cool, and in an overall good mood. The Philadelphia native’s World Wide Whack came out earlier this year.
