Throwback: Craig David-7 Days

Craig David’s “7 Days” appears on his 2000 debut album Born To Do It. He wrote the song with Mark Hill, Darren Hill, and Mark Hill produced it. The song about romancing a woman over seven days gave flashbacks to Usher’s “Make Me Wanna” from David’s tone, beat, and acoustic guitars.  The single was the second one from the album and his second number-one hit in the UK following the success of “Fill Me In.” The video was embraced as fervently as the song and David was an instant new sex symbol in British pop and R&B. Born To Do It went to number one on the UK Albums Chart and has been identified as the 45th fastest-selling album ever. Rodney Jerkins used Born To Do It as inspiration for Brandy’s Full Moon album. Craig David released his eighth studio album 22 in 2022. David kicked off his 7 Days Commitment Tour of the United States on May 4th.
