Robert PM and Lyric Christian warn others to keep their “Hands Off (My Crown)” with the rhythm of house. The Brooklyn producer who is also one-half of the indie band French Horn Rebellion collaborated with singer/songwriter model Christian to craft the lo-fi dancefloor seduction. The video is a clever capsulation of the vibe filmed on an iPhone while they were en route to a club. Christian explained the song’s inspiration in a statement:
“This song is all about how you make yourself feel—no one else. It’s a sexy soulful house track and whenever I listen to it I’m reminded of who I am—a badass, confident and beautiful woman who is in control of her own narrative.”
There is no word on whether these two have a full-length project in the works but “Hands Off (My Crown)” indicates future musical chemistry.
