Timbaland & Magoo’s “Luv 2 Luv U” was a single from their 1997 first album Welcome To Our World. Timbaland’s herculean beats were a straightforward dancefloor invitation enriched by Magoo and Shaunta’s unforgettable verses. The late Static Major, Timbaland and Magoo co-wrote “Luv 2 Luv U” which was one of four promotional singles from the album. Welcome To Our World went platinum by the spring of 1998 and Timbaland’s sound had become one of the most recognized during ’90s hip-hop. Timbaland & Magoo released three albums before stopping their musical partnership in 2003. All three albums were re-released in 2021 after Blackground Records signed a deal with Distribution Records. Timbaland and Missy recently let fans know they are working on new music.
