The Grammys Will Celebrate 50 Years Of Hip Hop

Queen Latifah, Missy Elliott, Method Man, Salt-N-Pepa, GloRilla, Busta Rhymes, Lil Baby, Public Enemy and more are performing at the Grammys’ 50th Anniversary of hip-hop celebration. The show will air on Sunday, February 5th. Questlove is the musical director and producer and his band The Roots will play while Black Thought provides narration. Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. says, “For five decades, hip-hop has not only been a defining force in music, but a major influence on our culture. Its contributions to art, fashion, sport, politics and society cannot be overstated. I’m so proud that we are honoring it in such a spectacular way on the Grammy stage. It is just the beginning of our yearlong celebration of this essential genre of music.”

Trevor Noah is hosting the show that takes place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. The Grammys will broadcast live on CBS at 7 PM ET.
