Fatlip & Blu’s Quirky Street Life Single Features MC Eiht

Fatlip and Blu share another song from their Live From The End Of The World Vol. 1 (Demos) with the Knxwledge-produced “Street Life.” Producer Knxwledge takes a sample of Lalah Hathaway’s cover of The Crusaders’ “Street Life” with Joe Sample and makes it the foundation. MC Eiht, who is another West Coast OG comes in and raps his vision of urban world over the fidgety funk beat and velvet-like organ. They released “Gangsta Rap” which was produced by Madlib and “Good For The Soul” earlier in this year. The rawness of the demos speaks to hip-hop’s heart which is all about invention and being in the moment. Blu’s fellow Pharcyde alumni Slimkid Tre is on the album along with Bilal, the late Gift of Gab, Del The Funky Homosapien and more. Sa-Ra Creative Partners and Nottz are also listed as producers. LFTEOTW comes out April 29th.
