Fana Hues’ sweet notes grace a new single she calls “Breakfast” and she reveals it during A COLORS SHOW. Hope, Biako and The Idiot produced the love song that has the sheen of ’90s R&B on it. Hues released “Pieces” in November which was her first new song since her 2020 Hues debut. She shared a remix of “Desert Flower” featuring Mereba last summer. The Pasadena, California native was also heard on Tyler, The Creator’s “SWEET/I THOUGHT YOU WANTED TO DANCE” from his Grammy-nominated CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST. “Breakfast” is a continuance of the kind of emotionally honest approach she presented on Hues. She says, “I thought it was super important for me as a Black woman to be open about that because so many times I feel like I’m not allowed to express my emotions. I’m kind of all over the place, but there’s always a method to the madness; it’s all centered; it all has a purpose.”The COLORS Show and the two current singles “Pieces” and “Breakfast” mark a new chapter for Hues and an upcoming project on Bright Antenna Records.
