Hiatus Kaiyote got into the Halloween spirit for their “Canopic Jar” video. The band rides through a haunted house and performs on a stage with several spooky props and makeup for the occasion. The visual was created with the holiday as the focus. Singer Nai Palm said,Â
“Halloween is my happy place and seeing as we have a Halloween release for ‘Canopic Jar’, it was only right to take a spooky ghost train ride with the visuals. Our manager Si came up with the concept, and director Grey Ghost (auspicious name, yes…haha) brought it to life with the help of an amazing art department and crew. We all got to choose our alter egos. Anyone who stepped foot on set got roped into being a ghoul or spider monster, etc.”
It’s obvious the band had fun making the video for the song from their current album Mood Valiant. A vinyl 12″ version of “Canopic Jar” is available in green.Â
