DJ Big Ben will debut his Soul Revue show on WaveRadio Wednesday nights. The musician and DJ is returning to his old passion for playing music with a new internet radio show. Twenty-five years ago he started a decade of hosting the Soul Power show on U Mass Lowell’s WUML station. He moved to New York to focus on his music career leaving radio in the rear-view mirror of his ambitions. WaveRadio was founded in 2017 by Pete Hudson and a partner to promote music not heard in the mainstream as well as local artists. Ben stated in a press release:Â
“The show is similar to what I did with Soul Power back in the day. We play a mix of old school funk, soul and rhythm and blues, focusing on a lot of classic and vintage material mixed with new music and music from up and coming artists in the genre.â€
Ben, who released his album The Friday Night Consortium in 2015, has been doing the show for a few months. The excitement he had for radio is intact with plans to ideally add content that will also appeal to soul and funk lovers globally.Â
Big Ben’s Soul Revue is live every Wednesday from 10PM to midnight ET. It can be heard by visiting  www.waveradioboston.com. The On Demand podcast replays can be streamed anytime via Spotify.Â
