Raquel Rodriguez’s R&B journey continues to evolve with the release of her Sweet Side debut album. The Los Angeles singer, who bears a stylistic resemblance to Chante Moore, started releasing music in 2011 with her self-titled EP. There has been a trail of recordings since that time and she continues to define her sound around the best moments of ’80s and ’90s R&B think Teena Marie. Sweet Side has a cluster of soul notables from the Jamiroquai, Moonchild and Butcher Brown camps. Next Tuesday she will premiere her video for “You” at Blue Dream Studios in Los Angeles. There will be 400 vinyl copies of Sweet Side available in July and can be pre-ordered now.Â
