Watch the trailer for the Netflix documentary Biggie: I Got A Story To Tell. The film goes behind the scenes of Biggie Small’s life to talk with friends, family and industry folks about his rise as one of the biggest rappers of the ’90s. His mother Voletta Wallace says,

“This will be the first documentary to focus on the experiences of my son’s life rather than the circumstances of his death. It is a celebration of who he was and where he came from. This is how he would have wanted to be remembered.” 
It was 24 years ago when Christopher Wallace was murdered in Los Angeles. The New York native had managed to bring pride back to his city’s rap scene after the West Coast explosion that reached a plateau with Dr. Dre’s The Chronic. Wallace’s two albums are still regarded as two of the most important in hip-hop. It was 12 years ago when his life was first adapted to film in the biopic Notorious. The Netflix documentary will make its premiere on March 1st.
