Kanye West unexpectedly released the 5-song Emmanuel EP with his Sunday Service Choir. The music is inspired by his Christian faith, “ancient and Latin music.” West composed and executive produced the EP that is meant to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. He first expressed his belief in Christ when with “Jesus Walks” and in 2019 he went on a highly publicized tour with the choir and released the gospel album Jesus Is Born. The rapper-producer had a busy year that included a run for president where he appeared on the ballot in 12 states.Â
