
Rapper Pharoahe Monch, Jack White’s drummer Daru Jones and guitarist Marcus Machado are Th1rt3en. The eclectic trio has released “666 (Three Six Word Stories)” which is their criticism of political corruption, police brutality and consumerism. Monch raps over Jones and Marchado’s smoky rhythms and soulful plucking interspersed with a manic saxophone. Monch explains in the video below how the song is coming from the challenge the late author Ernest Hemingway was given to write a book using six words.
