Melanie Faye made her official introduction today with the release of her self-titled debut EP. Faye’s EP comes after her viral videos of her guitar covers and an NPR Tiny Desk (Home) Concert. The Nashville native is a singer-songwriter and self-taught guitarist. Her six-song effort is casual and emotes like a sufficient summer fling. Despite her brief introduction she has already caught the attention of Sza, John Mayer and H.E.R. Karina Paisan makes an appearance on “Super Sad” and Faye’s guitar is the embodiment of comfort food throughout the EP. Â
