British rapper Headie One connects with Drake for the “Only You Freestyle.” Drake reached out to the artist who’s been making a name for himself on the U.K.Drill scene since 2014. Drake’s interest in the genre was made apparent with “War” and “Demons” from his Dark Lane Demo Tapes. He reached out to Headie One via Instagram and the “Only You Freestyle” came together not long after their initial contact. Drake was open about in his respect for Headie One and voiced his feelings about the song in a press release:Â Â “I had to go hard, especially on a track with one of the best drill artists in the world…Scratch that – the best drill artist in the world.” Nathan James directed the video that took place in London and Toronto. Headie One released his GANG mixtape in April which showed an expansion in sound with guests FKA twigs, Sampha, slowthai and Jamie xx. [youtube id=”znQriFAMBRs”]
