Black Violin introduces the Black Violin MasterClass Series in response to the COVID-19 outbreak as an online learning option. The six-week class is for all ages and levels music students and educators. The classes started Tuesday, April 7th and will continue until May 15th. The BVMC can be found on their YouTube channel. The online instruction is a continuation of their work in the schools over the past 20 years. A Q&A session will follow each Tuesday class and all of the lessons will be archived on the Black Violin Website. The lesson plans will also be uploaded so that students can access the class at their convenience. Wil Baptiste and Kev Marcus have been performing as Black Violin for more than a decade. The classically trained duo combines their formal training with hip-hop, pop and R&B. They released their album Take The Stairs in 2019. Read the interview with Black Violin.Â
