[youtube id=”2EntxPIULUI”] Austin, Texas soul duo Black Pumas are having a career breakthrough after the release of their self-titled second album last year. The buzz around their album has brought them a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist. Singer Eric Burton and guitarist Adrian Quesada got together by an introduction through mutual friends. Burton was a local singer and Quesada was a former member of the Latin funk band Grupo Fantasma. The band’s name comes from Quesada’s interest in jaguars and is a play on Black Panthers. “Colors” is on the way to becoming their big song and the video is a lively scene that takes place in the Bronx. Â
