Nikki Jean has a moment of sisterhood in the video for her latest single “Driver.” The St. Paul, Minnesota native went back to her alma mater Howard University and met with creative women who inspire her work and life. The women reveal the things that drive them and give perspective. “Driver” is on Jean’s Rhymesayers Entertainment debut, Beautiful Prison and it comes five years after her 2014 Champagne Water EP. The new album precedes her Get Free documentary she debuted at IDEA-GEN last week. Last year she was heard on Lupe Fiasco’s Drogas Wave album and he appears on “Mr. Clean.” Watch the video for “Driver” and stream Beautiful Prison.
