Georgia Anne Muldrow’s VWETO II arrives eight years after its predecessor. The instrumental album is a floating excursion through funk and fusion. Muldrow’s muse takes her through 16 different scenes of intuitive exploration. She wrote and produced all of the music with executive production credits going to Michael Tolle and her partner Dudley Perkins. VWETO II is an ideal road trip companion for an obvious physical journey but the lack of words also makes it easier for those who are mind-surfing while sitting still.Â
Muldrow is busy this year with the release of VWETO II and back in February, she collaborated with Adrian Younge and Terrace Martin to celebrate Black History Month. She also collaborated with Chicago production duo Tensei on their Constellate album. At the end of 2018, she saw the release of her first Brainfeeder album, Overload. Later this summer she and Dudley Perkins will unleash Black Love And War.Â
