Nick Speed is usually behind the scenes making music in the studio but he has stepped out as a solo artist and is sharing his first video. “Throw Sum'” is the initial single for his forthcoming project. His sister Lauren Speed directed him as he delivered his autobiographical verses while walking around downtown Detroit. The producer has made records for Danny Brown, Talib Kweli and Eminem to name a few but he is now making his own music. When he’s not producing for others the Detroit native can be heard interviewing artists on Shade45 and Red Bull Radio. Speed’s “Throw Sum'” is the beginning of his new ambition as an emcee.Â
