Karen O of punk band The Yeah Yeah Yeahs and producer Danger Mouse have put together a collaborative album they call Lux Prima. Their nine-song partnership has plenty of Motown and rock influences inside moments that are upbeat like the declaration of “Woman” and the completely mellow mood of “Drown.” Danger Mouse is known for his broad palette that has produced music for The Black Keys and his famous Grey album that combined Jay-Z’s Black Album with The Beatles’ “White” album. The duo has plans to present Lux Prima with an art installation at the Marciano Art Foundation in Los Angeles during the month of April.
