Toro y Moi’s Outer Peace came out two days ago and the album’s quirky funk designs offers warm relaxation especially for the fans currently experiencing winter. It is his sixth studio album and there are moments when the sound strays from funk and enters pop and even a exposes a little bit of trap’s influence. Moi said the title references the idea that peace is usually within but much harder to have on the outside. Toro y Moi tour dates resume Wednesday night in Houston.Â
