Big K.R.I.T. releases his final musical output for 2018 with the Trifecta EP. K.R.I.T. already surprised fans with the Thrice X and Double Down EPs released within the past two months. Trifecta is three songs with production from Rico Love, Danja Handz, Charity Work, 5ive 9, Mark Byrd and Jon Jonsin. K.R.I.T. shows his love for R&B with use of Jill Scott’s “He Loves Me” sampled on the song “Energy.” He says,

I love writing over soulful music with 808s. The Jill Scott “He Loves Me” sample made it so easy to find a cadence and tone that fit. I literally walked into the studio and Danja had the instrumental to “Energy” banging thru the speakers. Rico Love had already had a concept that was perfect. When it came to writing to the track it was super organic.

Big K.R.I.T. has been just as busy with his commitment to the community as he has been to his music. He recently paid a visit to the Boys and Girls Club in his Mississippi hometown and spoke with kids about success before he donated $5,000 to the organization.
