[youtube id=”DkoeNLuMbcI”] Diddy, Dawn Richard and Kalenna Harper were Dirty Money, a progressive dance music trio that threw a lifeline to mainstream pop. Diddy used his experiences at parties in Ibiza and a love story as the inspiration for their 2010 Last Train To Paris album. His decision to be trio was credited to British bands Loose Ends and Soul II Soul. Danja produced “Hello Good Morning” and the blend of Euro synthesizers, brisk beats and raps about being a superstar from T.I. and Diddy became a speaker-spread drug at parties and inside clubs. Diddy discarded all previous hip-house formulas from the ’80s and ’90s and created a new kind of dance music. The Hype Williams-directed video for “Hello Good Morning” had appearances from Rick Ross, T.I. and Rico Love. They have an epic night out while Diddy drives around town in a Bugatti as the other performers deliver their verses from a glamorous club. The concept of the video was pulled from the 1995 movie Heat. There are several remixes of “Hello Good Morning” with Nicki Minaj, Eminem, Tinie Tempah, Tinchy Stryder and Skepta. The song is one of the gems that helped The Last Train To Paris sparkle across the fragmented worlds of pop without sacrificing its soul. Â
