[youtube id=”cpGA0azFdCs”] Sinead O’ Connor popularized Prince’s “Nothing Compares 2 U” when she made it a hit song in 1990. But hardcore Prince fans were already familiar with the song because of its first appearance on The Family’s 1985 debut album. The Family was another band Prince wrote the music and created the image for in the ’80s. In this video, Prince and The Revolution rehearse at a warehouse in Eden Prairie, Minnesota for the Purple Rain tour in 1984 as the original version of  “Nothing Compares 2 U” plays in the background. The rehearsal shows Prince in his prime dancing and playing and making it all seem so easy while wearing high heels.Â
