It would be hard to guess which songs the vibraphonist would choose from so many but “Searchin’,” “Black Family” and “Everybody Loves The Sunshine” set the room aglow. At the age of 77, Ayers showed he can still command the stage and never miss a beat in his solos. His trio of bassist Trevor Allen, drummer Christopher De Carmine and keyboardist Mark Adams provided Ayers with the right amount of groove to recreate his classics.Â
