Sade will release a new song “Flower Of The Universe” on the Wrinkle In Time soundtrack. Ava DuVernay is directing the Disney film and she divulged Sade’s involvement on social media earlier today. Sade’s most recent album is 2010’s Soldier Of Love. DuVernay did not expect Sade’s participation but asked anyway according to a Tweet.
The movie is based on Madeline L’Engle’s 1962 children’s book and is a sci-fi fantasy about a young girl in search of her missing father. DuVernay’s movie is the third adaptation of L’Engle’s’ book and will star Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon and Mindy Kaling. A Wrinkle In Time will open in theaters March 9th.
