Listen To Jimi Hendrix Cover Muddy Waters’ Mannish Boy

[youtube id=”0t0Qp9K_y6M”] In April of 1969 Jimi Hendrix recorded a cover of Muddy Waters’ “Mannish Boy” at The Record Plant studios in New York with Buddy Miles and Billy Cox. The recording happened before they became the Band Of Gypsies.

“Mannish Boy” will be on Both Sides Of The Sky, a collection of unheard recordings Hendrix created between 1968 and 1970. There are collaborations with Johnny Winter, Lonnie Youngblood and Stephen Stills.

Both Sides Of The Sky will be released March 9th.
