Tina Turner To Receive Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award

Tina Turner will be the recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Grammy’s this year. Louis Jordan, The Meters,  Queen, Hal Blaine, Emmylou Harris and Neil Diamond will also receive the award alongside Turner. A concert to honor them with a special ceremony will take place during the summer.

Turner, who rose to fame as one-half of the Ike and Tina Turner Revue in the ’60’s became a Swiss citizen in 2013. Her rise in the ’80s as a solo artist propelled her to individual icon status and she earned the named Queen Of Rock.  She is scheduled to release her second autobiography, Tina Turner: My Love Story in October 2018.

The Grammys will take place January 28th in New York City at Madison Square Garden.
