Vivian Green Releases Video For I Don’t Know From VGVI

[youtube id=”HNg80zNpPwU”] Vivian Green’s sixth studio album VGVI is coming out this Friday and the reggae-tinged “I Don’t Know” is the first single. The video finds Green performing onstage at an outdoor festival and having a flirtation with a new man. Green previously worked with producer and former rapper Kwamé on her Vivid album two years ago and they started recording together again in January of this year.  She revealed her idea behind the album:

“I wanted to do something brighter and more upbeat. If a song was sad, it needed to have a certain attitude, energy, and life to it. I’ve done sad songs. I love them, of course. However, I wanted to evolve.”

Kwamé also appears in the video as a DJ wearing his trademarked polka dots that Biggie Smalls made famous on “Unbelievable.” VGVI can be pre-ordered before its actual release. Vivian Green is also appearing in Je’Caryous Johnson’s stage production of Two Can Play That Game right now.
