Prince’s 1987 concert film Sign O’ The Times will air on Showtime September 16th. The movie was the companion piece to his double album of the same name and is one of the most vividly filmed concerts. Sign O’ The Times was critically acclaimed when it was originally released in movie theaters. The concert was filmed at Paisley Park and footage was also used from his tours in Belgium and the Netherlands. It will be the first time in more than a decade that it will be seen on television. Fans are still waiting for the film to be reissued because it went out of print in 1991 and never had an official DVD release.
