Talib Kweli has a three-month residency at the Blue Note jazz club in New York City to celebrate the 15th anniversary of his classic album Quality. Kweli’s stint starts in September with a live band and will continue until January 2018. Quality was Kweli’s debut album and it immediately established his solo identity outside of his partnership with Yasiin Bey as one-half of Black Star. The residency will be his seventh time appearing at the club since 2014. Legendary for the jazz label it is named after and the artists who have performed on its stage, the Blue Note has hosted hip-hop concerts from The Roots, Big Daddy Kane,  Lauryn Hill, Prodigy and others. To buy tickets for the shows beginning on September 7th go to the Blue Note site.
