Snoop Dogg gave the induction speech and later performed “Gangsta Party” with YG. Alicia Keys sang a medley of Tupac’s songs including “Ambitionz az a Ridah” “I Get Around,” “I Ain’t Mad at Cha” and “Dear Mama” Â Treach later took the stage to perform “Hail Mary” and T.I. ended the tribute with “Keep Ya Head Up.”
Snoop Dogg accepted the award for Tupac and shared a personal story about smoking his first blunt with him but he also wanted people to know about his humanity. Tupac’s friend and former labelmate explained the importance of remembering him as an actual person and not some “thugged-out superhero.” Tupac’s biopic, All Eyez On Me will be released on his birthday June 16th.
