[youtube id=”CcukGhELqPg”] [youtube id=”70EO6ElBhSc”] Jack White opened his Third Man Pressing record plant in Detroit’s Cass Corridor this weekend. White held a private party to celebrate the opening of the facility in the historical neighborhood that is rebirthing itself from being viewed as a social problem into a viable space. The facility has eight new presses, is green-friendly by using recycled water and will provide up to 50 jobs.  The plant will make vinyl copies for White’s Third Man Records but artists of any genre can purchase pressings of their music. The public can see the process of the work through the building’s clear windows and staff will offer tours in the coming months. White spoke with WXYZ about the opening of Third Man Pressing and why he chose to do it in Cass Corridor. Last year he appeared on Beyonce’s Lemonade and A Tribe Called Quest’s We Got It From Here…Thank You 4 Your Service albums.
