[youtube id=”3b5ctO3uKKo”] Dev Hynes and Bryndon Cook present the video for “Hymn” from their VeilHymn collaboration project. Malia James directed the video that is inspired by Malick Sidibe the late photographer from Mali who became famous for his images of pop culture in the country’s leading city of Bamako.
“Hymn” was filmed in Jamaica and it is a chronicle of the culture in a church, outdoors and at school. The scenes look like they belong to a full-length feature and move on pace with the various dancers. You can experience the interactive version of the video at the VeilHymn site.
