John Legend is on the cover of Jocks&Nerds Winter issue and he gives an interview to the magazine where he talks about Trump, acting, the Obamas and his fifth album, Darkness and Light. Legend’s Get Lifted Film Company was behind Southside With You, the film about Michelle and Barack Obama’s first date. Of his new album title he says, “While ‘Darkness and Light’ is the name of one of the songs, those words kept coming back to me. There’s a lot of darkness in the world, pain and conflict. But the album also represents the desire to find light, optimism, love and joy in the midst of all that.” Darkness and Light will be released December 2nd and the Winter issue of  Jocks&Nerds is on sale now.
