[youtube id=”-S66KHJjyO4″] The Electronique Void Act 1 video is a visual for the first three songs from Adrian Younge’s newest album. The mostly instrumental album is about relationships and he describes it as an “academic album” because it is informative. The Electronique Void Act 1 sounds like lazy techno and bits of P-Funk held together with samples of esoteric narration. The album comes out officially on October 7th and you can pre-order vinyl, digital or a CD version now. Younge and Ali Shaheed Muhammad have scored the soundtrack for Netflix’s Luke Cage series from Marvel. Raphael Saadiq, Faith Evans, Charles Bradley and Jidenna are some of the artists to work on the project. On October 6th they will give a live show of the music at the Theatre At Ace Hotel in Los Angeles. Miguel Atwood-Ferguson will conduct a 40-piece orchestra for the show and producer No I.D. will DJ for the evening.
