Afropunk’s annual festival is taking place in Brooklyn again this year and the festival is taking place August 27th and 28th. The After Dark series will begin Thursday (August 25th) evening and end on Monday, August 29th. Saturday night Nikki Giovanni will read poetry and Saul Williams is the host. The Gza will perform with DJ Premier  Saturday night at a secret location and Angelo Moore is the host. There will be a dance party, a Black party, a performance from Laura Mvula among the many events.
