The week started with VH1 honoring women in hip-hop and by the weekend Rapsody is announcing her new deal with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation. Rapsody is known for being 9th Wonder’s current protege and has been on the roster of his Jamla Records. It’s been a big year for Rapsody because she also performed at the White House for International Jazz Day. Her profile has been rising with the release of 2014’s Beauty And The Beast and her appearance on Kendrick Lamar’s “Complexion (A Zulu Love).” Rapsody and 9th Wonder confirmed her signing on Instagram.
