He became a fan of The Bangles after hearing their first album and offered “Manic Monday” as a gift. The song was recorded for their second album, In A Different Light, and it made them a pop sensation because it was their first hit. Prince would also have a personal relationship with Bangles’ lead vocalist Susanna Hoffs. The Bangles last recorded in 2011 when they released their fifth studio album, Sweetheart of the Sun.
