Las Vegas is a city that is constantly reinventing itself. For years it was known as the most popular gambling mekka not only for US citizens, but players from all over the world. But with some major revenue drops appearing couple years ago the city started changing their politics. Today Las Vegas wants to be known not only for their glitzy casino parlors.
Today the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) is capitalizing on the city’s destination status for world-class entertainment, culinary offerings and most importantly – the music. Between October 2014 and September 2015 LVCVA worked on promoting the Sin City at seven most popular markets – Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Phoenix, San Diego, Dallas and Houston.
No doubt the promotion campaign was successful. There are still people who come to the Sin City for some poker and slots. But in case you are into gambling, discover the world of online casinos and poker apps. If you interested in winning good money online, visit this guide and learn all you need. And after that – plan your music trip to Las Vegas! Hopefully, there are some cool events to look forward in 2016.
Music Residencies
Having high-profile artists moving in for the residencies along the Strip is one of the things now common for Las Vegas. John Fogerty, Elton John, Jennifer Lopez and Britney Spears return to the Sin City at the beginning of 2016. Lionel Richie has his residency at the Axis at Planet Hollywood, and you can see him in May, September, and October. Depending on your musical preference Las Vegas has artists to entertain you.
Music Festivals
In you want something more massive than one music star, you are more than welcomed to come to summer festivals.
Punk Rock Bowling 2016
The festival was started back in 1999 by ‘BYO Records’ owners. Now it is the cool way to bring together all the music community together and have great time. The legendary music event is just around the corner, it would take place on 28th-30th May. The lineup includes Flag, the Descendants, Flogging Molly and more. Five nights of club shows and punk rock poker tournament, comedy shows and hotel pool parties – everyone will find entertainment for himself.
Electric Daisy Carnival
The heat of the summer is the best time for this dance-travaganza for all the dance fans out there. It will take place on June 17-19 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The lineup promises something extra-special – they are celebrating 20th anniversary. However, the lineup is still kept in secret. As always, carnival prepares additional entertainment to enjoy between the performances.
Psycho Festival
This year the festival has finally moved to the Sin City and will be held at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino on August 26-28. The lineup includes some great bands like a can’t-miss Down, rock icons Blue Oyster Cult and legendary Sleep and Candlemass. Three stages and chopper show, three stages to visit and tattoo artists show sounds like a lot of fun.
