Kane received the rare privilege of being able to sample Prince’s “Pop Life” for the single and he wore a lot of Prince’s favored purple in the video. Big Daddy Kane did not leave hip-hop behind on the Prince Of Darkness as there are guest appearances from Q-Tip, Busta Rhymes, and songs like “Brother, Brother” and “Git Bizzy.” Prince and Big Daddy Kane were previously together on an unreleased remix of “Batdance” from the Batman soundtrack which was posted on the internet after Prince’s passing.
