Prince will finally release his memoirs in a book scheduled for a 2017 Fall release. Publishers Spiegel & Grau describe the project as “an unconventional and poetic journey through his life and creative work.” Prince will obviously talk about his inspirations, childhood and how he came to love music. But will he give readers the scoop in his own words of his rivalry with the late Rick James? What about any of his numerous relationships with women? What will he say about Vanity? Did he ever come to really accept rap music? Will he go into depth about all the music he made in the ’80’s like his factory of offshoots including The Family, Madhouse, Vanity Six etc. Will he separate the facts from the fiction in Purple Rain? There is no title for the book yet but it is already one of the most anticipated books of 2017.
