Soundcloud, the popular streaming service used by millions of users has struck a licensing deal with Universal. Artists signed to Universal will be able to earn money from advertising when their songs are streamed on Soundcloud. The company’s CEO, Alexander Ljung says that subscription products from the streaming service will debut later this year.
