Heresy is a new all woman rap crew founded by Native Tongue legend Monie Love and it includes Carolina Dirty, Dominique Larue and MyVerse. “Da Call Out” is their first single and video and it is a critique of police brutality, Worldstarhiphop and the objectification of women in rap. Video clips of the Walter Scott shooting, Mike Brown’s corpse and Talib Kweli’s interview with Don Lemon are put together with footage of the women in the studio and producer Mister Lawnge of the Black Sheep watching them from the boards. The Heresy EP comes out August 14th and can be pre-ordered from iTunes now.
