Jeanette Lady Day’s “Come Let Me Love You” was a success for New York City dance music label Prelude. The song was a standard during the ’80s in the clubs and roller rinks. Because the song was released as a 12-inch club single not much was known about Day. “Comet Let Me Love You” was later sampled by The Beastie Boys and Crystal Waters.
