It’s been 13 years since Mystic’s Cuts For Luck and Scars For Freedom was released and spawned “The Hit” which earned her a BET nomination for best female hip-hop artist. The Oakland emcee has spent the last 13 years getting an education, and working on the business side of the music industry and she appeared in a few films. “Country Roads” addresses historically violent attacks on Black men, online white supremacists and child molesters. It is the last free song available before the release of her second album, Beautiful Resistance on August 26th. The song is a free download and it will not be on the album that is almost exclusively produced by Eligh.
