“Black Rage” is a sketch of a song Lauryn Hill previously recorded in her living room and has made a part of her live show. Today she dedicated the song to the situation in Ferguson, MO regarding the killing of Mike Brown by police officer Darren Wilson and the resulting protests. The song is a reworking of “My Favorite Things” from The Sound of Music musical most famously covered by John Coltrane. You can read the lyrics to “Black Rage” here.
