Chubb Rock’s “The Chubbster” was a rare but successful meeting between hip-hop and house music. DJ/Producer Clark Kent knew how to take Rock’s vocals and match them to the right BPM for the dancefloor. Chubb Rock became a member of a group of artists with hip-hop credentials who made worthy dance tracks including The Jungle Brothers, Queen Latifah, Monie Love, Heavy D, and Sean Combs. The New York rapper who became famous for “Treat ‘Em Right” in the ’90’s is the host of the Chubb Rock Radio Show out of Atlanta.
