Kelis is preparing a new album for an April 28th 2014 release that will be entirely produced by TV On The Radio’s Dave Sitek. Food will be Kelis’s 6th album and “Been Given A Morning” gives a teaser of her musical direction that according to the press release is “a soul record that’s as raw and alternative as it is classic.” Kelis has signed to indie British label Ninja Tune to release the project.
